Gearing & Watson Electronics Ltd (GW) has been established since 1973 as a specialist designer and manufacturer of moving coil exciters, high power amplifiers, complex signal generators and closed loop control systems. The company is accredited to ISO 9001 for quality assurance and is an approved defence contractor.

GW maintains a strong design capability; the company has invested in a suite of design tools including finite element analysis, magnetics analysis and fluid dynamics analysis. These tools permit new designs to be modelled to confirm dynamic performance before committing to the manufacturing process. During year 2000 GW won a UK Department of Trade and Industry SMART award for the use of increased technology in vibration testing systems.

 GW is based in Hailsham, East Sussex, near the south coast of England.
